The Art of Star Wars "Suit" at the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition Premiere (Left)
Another difficult set of items to color match. If you go by exhibit  pictures alone, you'll regret it.  Unfortuntaely, camera flash is your worst enemy where this is concerned. Your best bet is to reference photos that have been taken without flash, and digitally lighten them up a bit, or use a few of the rare pics taken outdoors. Another alternative is to reference movie stills. If you've seen the actual exhibits, you have an edge.
The level of accuracy as with any other component, depends on your own time investment. Easily some of the easiest pieces of the suit to replicate  scratches and detail, because of the vast amount of reference available. If you take your time, and strain your eyes for hours, you'll be able to pull it off.
A note about the knees. The Art of Star Wars exhibit  does not have the red and black washers (paint) on the left knee darts. I incorporated this from The Magic of Myth exhibit, simply because of the added detail. Again, it's all preference.
