The Jetpack ... Mitrinomon Z-6 according the Star Wars Visual Dictionary. As with
any other Movie Prop, there were different versions of this too. Not only limited
to variation by movie, but also pre-production and stunt versions as well.
Only George Lucas' people would know how many for sure. This one is painted in the traditional Return of the Jedi color scheme with the exception of the ball thrusters, I added a bit of the Magic of Myth red because I liked th added detail. Often referred to as the "Technicolor Terror, primarily by those who can't seem to appreciate just how much detail is really on this version. In contrast to the Empire Strikes Back version (which is primarily all green with a touch of red and weathering). Personally, I never cared for the ROTJ colors either. But after studying the immense detail that envelops this little piece of Star Wars history, I knew I had to overcome it, and learn to appreciate it. This scheme is truly the way to go if you want to torture yourself. But in all seriousness, if you really want to show the time and effort that went into your costume, this is the way to do it. In my opinion, it is the second MVP in the "Overall" appearance |
