This was a kit that I built up for Matt Dorion, "Wellpaidkiller". I believe the kit was originally made by "Chaucer44". |
The build-up on this kit took about 6 months on and off. The original parts and components
were urethane resin with chopped fiberglass reinforcemens, and were in
extremely rough condition. If you buy one of these kits, you will need
to be very patient, and take your time. Experience in model building skills is
an absolute must. In my opinion, this is probably one of the most complex kits
to clean up before assembly that there are. |
The hands that came with the kit were very large and disproportionate. I replaced
the hands from this kit with custom sculpted hands that I personally made. Much
reference material (photo's) were used in recreating these hands. The pictures
below show the statue in a state of about 95% completion. There are still detail
pieces that ned to be added to the tops of the hands for greater accuracy to
the movie droid.. I will update these pictures when the statue is completed ... |
